TAW (Wald Industries) Limited, focused on consulting, research and development services.  

TAW established in 2004, to expand the services provided by the WALD Group in new areas reflecting the special expertise of TAW’s team.

       R&D projects - TAW provides services regarding:

  • Evaluation of ideas
  • Preparation of work-programs
  • Grants application and contracting process - especially within the European R&D programs, including the organization of consortia
  • Project management - including financial monitoring
  • Dissemination and exploitation plan - including the marketing of project's products 
  • Participation as scientific group in applied R&D projects in the fields of expertise

Fields of expertise cover experimental and theoretical plasma physics, nuclear physics, propulsion, fluid dynamics and environmental science.

Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary applied R&D projects.

These activities are led by TAW General Manager and CTO, Dr. Shlomo Wald 

 

Dr. Shlomo Wald, General Manager

Born 1950, Dr. Shlomo Wald is a physicist with vast experience in R&D and in the management of large research projects. During his service at the Soreq Nuclear Research Center he promoted and managed several national and international projects, among them the EU-FP4 “PROMETHEUS” based on Dr. Wald patent. Dr. Wald was the first coordinator of a European project coming from Israel. Later he coordinated the EU-FP5 Project “YTRID” (Dr. Wald is among the IP owners). He also promoted and managed industrial projects as a scientific consultant, including the Maklef potash production plant of the Dead-Sea-Works, the Israeli National Hazardous Wastes Treatment Center in Ramat-Hovav, Israel, a hydroelectric power-plant (2.5MW) on the Jordan River, etc. As the Chief Scientist of the Israeli Ministry of National Infrastructures, Energy and Water Resources, for 7 years starting 2008. Dr. Wald had been involved in the formulation of Israeli policies and governance structures for WEFE (Water, Energy, Food and Ecosystem) resources sustainable security of supply. He serves as a member of the board of governors of the EU- JRC. On 2015 spent Sabbatical leave at the JRC (at Ispra, IT). Following that he has provided consulting services to several organizations, such as the EU Joint Research Services (The JRC) in water, energy, food and ecosystem nexus methodology for development of European and Israeli climate-change adaptation program. Following his retirement Dr. Wald transferred his activities to his own company, TAW Ltd., where he serves as the CEO and CTO As described above. Last year, Dr. Wald participated in the organization of the Mediterranean WEFE Conference held last September, and a WEFE workshop held on February 2022 in Cyprus which led to the initiation of this proposal. Dr. wald holds over 100 publications and 5 patents.

Dorit Wald, M.Sc., R.D., Reg. No 6083, Manager

Born 1953, Clinical Nutritionist & Biochemist.

Mrs. Dorit Wald had a long diversified experience working at the Sheba Hospital in Tel-Hashomer, Israel and Kupat Holim Meuchedet, Rehovot, Israel.

Following her retirement Mrs. Dorit Wald provides consultancy services in her fields of expertise.
